In 2020 we returned to Bedarra Island to upgrade the existing off-grid system to meet the growing demands at the resort. The new system designed by Solect Energy is a fully automated off-grid power system built using the highest quality components and equipment to supply enough power for loads of 500-600kWh per day with minimal generator run time.

In 2012 a new off-grid solar system coupled with a battery bank and a back-up generator has replaced the 3 x 185 Kva diesel powered generators on the island. Diesel consumption at the resort has reduced by 97.5% as a direct result of the new off-grid system and the associated re-fit of electrical fittings and appliances with low power alternatives throughout the resort.

Major knockdown and rebuild of the beachfront guest accommodation. Refurbishment of the front house areas, main kitchen and grounds. Upgrade of underground mains and submains throughout existing resort. New staff accommodation underground reticulation and distribution boards.
